Thank you
We would just like to say a big 'thank you' to all those who attended The Jim Clark Film Festival. We were delighted with the way the event went off and the feedback we have received so far is extremely positive.
We would also like to thank our guest speakers - Sir John Whitmore, Ian Scott-Watson, Jack Sears, Len Terry, Bob Dance, Jim Endruweit, Peter Darley and Bob Sparshott - as well as Clive Chapman of Classic Team Lotus, Malcolm Ricketts and Michael Schryver, all of whom sent cars along to display in front of the hall.
Please take a look at our Gallery section for photos of the event - there is even a video on YouTube that you can watch!
The very poignant and moving tributes to Jim provided for the event by Sir Jackie Stewart and Dan Gurney, which we've had a lot of requests for, can be found on the Tributes page.
We have also received a number of letters and emails about the event, which you can see extracts from on the Testimonials page.
Press coverage of the event in the run-up to the weekend was good, examples of which can be found on the Press page.
The establishment of the Jim Clark Memorial Fund, to design, build and maintain a new and more fitting Memorial to Jim at the Hockenheim circuit, was also announced at the Festival. The total cost of the Memorial is likely to amount to £10,000 and an appeal has been launched to raise this sum to enable the Memorial to be dedicated at this year's Jim Clark Revival meeting on 26th-27th April. Thank you to all those who made a donation at the Festival. If you would like to help, more information about how to make a donation can be found on the Memorial Fund page.
We plan to make the Festival an annual event with a different theme each year and suggestions for next year's theme are welcome...
